Welcome! I’m Kelly, founder of Everly Photography & Branding, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a portrait and branding photographer based in the picturesque Walton-on-Thames, working across Surrey and into London, and yes, I’ll happily travel for the right project (especially if there’s coffee involved).
But more importantly… I’m here to help you show up confidently in front of the camera and out in the world, whether you’re a bold entrepreneur, a growing creative brand, or a business ready to elevate your professional image.
My Story (The Short, Colourful Version)
I come from a family of makers and dreamers. My dad built a business selling industrial nuts and bolts around the globe, and my mom ran a pottery studio from our home in sunny Johannesburg. I like to think I inherited their fearless spirit, and added a splash of colour, chaos, and creativity of my own.
From rocking out at punk gigs, to earning a BA in Brand Communications and starting my career in graphic design and publishing, and roller skating through my twenties, I’ve always been drawn to stories and self-expression. But it wasn’t until 2011 when I took the leap into full-time photography that everything clicked (literally).
Portraiture quickly became my passion. I wasn’t just taking pictures, I was telling stories, capturing emotion, and turning real people into bold, powerful visual brands.
Why I Love What I Do (And Why It Matters)
For years, I worked with families and newborns, building my reputation and refining my craft. But over time, I felt a bigger pull, to help business owners show up the way they were meant to be seen: authentic, confident, and magnetic.
I’ve walked the road of personal branding myself, so I get it. I know what it takes to stand out online, connect with your audience, and build trust. I See the World a Bit Differently (And That’s a Good Thing)
After moving to the UK in 2023, I hit the ground running, first working in digital marketing, soaking up culture and trends, and discovering just how much power comes from a fresh perspective. Being an outsider sharpened my creative lens. I noticed the details others missed. I saw stories everywhere.
And now I bring that perspective to every project I take on, whether it’s a bold branding shoot for a coach or a clean, modern headshot for a team of professionals.
A Few Fun Facts (So We’re Not Strangers)
Yes, I’m a little quirky (aren’t all creatives?). I drink way too much coffee, can’t resist a great G&T, and I still teach baby massage classes part-time, because supporting connection and confidence in others is what lights me up, both behind the camera and beyond it.
My clients say I’m patient, detail-obsessed (in a good way), and quietly confident. I believe in creating space for people to feel safe, seen, and powerful in front of the camera.
