Meet Mel Carrington – Corporate Leader, Blogger, and All-Around Force of Nature
Mel Carrington is a senior talent acquisition specialist at Anglo American, and when she’s not connecting exceptional people with exciting roles, she’s writing honest, funny, and insightful blog posts. Her personal blog is a place where she shares reflections on life, identity, and career with the kind of voice that draws you in. (Her LinkedIn bio cheekily describes her as a “writer of articles my mom reads” – and I have to say, that made me laugh!)
This was Mel’s first-ever personal branding photoshoot, and she absolutely owned it.

“We seem to talk about our own accomplishments when we are asked in an uncomfortable setting, this is often in an interview or at an alcoholics anonymous meeting or in therapy or when we must introduce ourselves at a work conference. This is not in any order, and I do not recommend doing all these things in one day.
“Hello, I am Melissa, and I am a lunatic, and this is my fun fact” – queue silence.”
